Women in the Arts

This video shows the first day of the second ELA unit in 6th grade: Women in the Arts. Students use their background knowledge to identify famous artists and then launch into reading and watching a video about a group of female activists who have worked to promote equitable opportunities for female artists. This lesson is adapted from Fishtank.
