Learning about Mars

This video shows the second day of a nonfiction ELA unit on the exploration of Mars. The lesson begins with a fluency and then a vocabulary routine. After that, students engage with the text to learn more about the benefits, the limitations, and the tools involved in the exploration of Mars. Students then engage in topic sentence writing and in combining sentences using conjunctions. This lesson is adapted from Fishtank.
