Folktales ELA Lesson

In this lesson, first grade students listen to their teacher read aloud a folktale and consider how the characters are feeling during the book. They then think about what lesson the character learned and what lessons they can learn from thief folktale. The writing portion of the lesson focuses on using “but” and “because” and directly answering the question asked. This lesson is adapted from Fishtank.
