Learning about Characters in A Wrinkle in Time

During this lesson, students quickly review what they learned in their first day of reading A Wrinkle in Time before jumping into writing about the characters they are meeting in chapter 1. After writing for a while, students engage in a whole class discussion to hear how their peers described the main characters before revising their writing. The lesson ends with a lesson on where appositives can appear in a sentence and a chance to revisit their writing to include appositives.
